What BUZZ Is and Why It Is Getting Attention
BUZZ is a new product from Jack Dorsey, founder of Twitter, described online as a Slack for an environment of agents and people. It is an open source communication interface supporting two way conversation with AI agents.
That definition matters more than it sounds. Until now most tools treated an agent as a service you invoke rather than a participant in a conversation. BUZZ places it as an equal party in the channel.
How It Looks in Practice
Amir Shneider added Claude and Codex to a single channel in parallel, so each could work on its strongest output toward producing videos at a high production standard.
That is the real test of the idea. Instead of manually moving output from one model to another, both agents sit in the same context and see the same conversation. You can also bring your own agents or other people's agents into that space.
What Problem the Tool Solves
The practical meaning, according to Shneider, is that you can speak with your agents in one interface rather than jumping between different models.
Anyone working with several models in parallel knows the hidden cost of switching. Lost context, manual copying and repeated instructions consume more time than expected, and a unified interface removes much of that friction.
Where the Product Stands Right Now
At this stage the product is free and downloadable for MacOS and Windows. Shneider notes it is receiving positive feedback from leading content creators, including Riley Brown who published a video review of it.
It is worth remembering this is a young product, so the reasonable move is testing it on a side project rather than embedding it in core workflows immediately. Being open source makes that evaluation easier.
